I don't usually review books but my kids loved it! Illustrations are great! Buy it...you won't regret it.
Broccoli Chronicles encourages young children to take a stand for what they believe in, regardless of discouragement and negativity from other people. As educators, it can be difficult these days to find books that bring adventure, emotion and humor all rolled into one. Myrtle reminded me of my own childhood and the adventures that I had to face, whether good or bad. She is quite a character! Highly recommend this book!
"Broccoli Chronicles" is truly an inspirational, entertaining, thought provoking and mind challenging reading. The "Interactve Journal" is a great companion guide to the book. The journal gives the readers the opportunity, like the character Myrtle, to expand their minds and dream big dreams, while expanding their writing abilities. The coloring book is so much fun for both children and adults. The sets makes great gifts !! I'm waiting with great anticipation for the next book from the author as this was an outstanding reading.
I love this book. Broccoli Chronicles is not just for kids but for people of all ages. I could not put this book down it was so good. Myrtle is surely a kid with a big voice and it will be heard. Samantha is not your typical antagonist and will surprise you. The drawings in the book make you feel as if you are there, living right next door to Myrtle and being right there with her as she goes through all the ups and downs in her life. I love Broccoli Chronicles and even if you are not a kid, this book is a good read.
I love this book! It's a beautifully written story about a 10-year old girl named Myrtle, who is smart and funny. She's a sassy character that doesn't give up. This book is great for any kid who wants to read a cool story about a smart girl. My 3rd grader read it and enjoyed it. She said her favorite character is Myrtle because she's smart and funny! This is a great read.
