This is a mixed bag. The first article was very well written and inspiring. The rest of the book is a series of articles that range from esoteric to sales pitch. Many of the authors are pitching their brand of arrest and control techniques and after one or two of these I started to skim when it was clear that the pitch was on. There are probably three or four really good pieces and the rest are not worth the time. I would not recommend this book to anyone, current LEO, potential LEO or layman.Product details

Brian Willis consistently assembles and edits outstanding volumes of practical insight on a myriad of topics essential for surviving a career of public service without having your cheese slide off the crackers! All four volumes should be mandatory reading for anyone contemplating "the job" and those already there will nod affirmatively with each page read. Well done.
Really good book for cops in all points of their career to read. It'll help a rookie build a solid foundation, and it'll help a veteran keep their priorities straight.
Overall this was a great book. Written in essays from different officers, it was very insightful. As a new officer it helped me understand things that no one else has explained to me yet. I definitely recommend this book for all new and even experienced officers.
